About Our Business
SSF is a family owned manufacturing company. It was founded in 1966 by George
Hall, Sr., a machinist-toolmaker and self taught engineer. He observed cheese
makers manufacturing mozzarella and noted the many laborious steps necessary
for production. He decided he could build a machine with the cheese maker in
mind that would simplify elements of the process. The initial SUPREME molding
machine has since evolved into some twenty different labor saving devices for
processing mozzarella. Many of his original designs are still used in developing
today's automated systems.

Presently our largest system allows the producer of mozzarella cheese to cook,
stretch, form and chill up to 18,000 pounds per hour.

It is safe to say that approximately 80% of the mozzarella sold in the U.S. uses our
equipment in its production process.

SSF prides itself on its manufacturing capabilities. We consider our employees to
be craftsmen, who, through the years, have acquired specific knowledge of
stainless steel, it's properties and how it reacts under different working conditions
in different working environments. SSF encourages employee participation in the
development of equipment throughout the entire design and manufacturing
process. Our philosophy is to enlist the aid of a wide variety of sources including
universities, consultants, and colleagues at the 3-A, USDA, and state regulatory
agencies whenever there is a question of what would work best for a customer.

Let us put our considerable knowledge to work for you.
